So, why hackberry?

The simple answer is that on the boulevard outside our home in Mankato, Minnesota is a gorgeous specimen of hackberry. It is one of the largest trees in the area. In fact, there is at least one man who comes every year to photograph the tree and enjoy its magnificence. One benefit is that it completely covers our home from the prying eye of Goggle Earth (as you can see below left in the navigation bar).
